In 1998, during Dr. Jennifer Reynolds’s third year as a pre-med student at the University of Texas, her mother was in a near-fatal car accident. She recovered physically, but her behavior changed completely. What had happened to her mother’s personality as a result of the brain damage she suffered? That question prompted Dr. Reynolds to study neuropsychology during graduate school. She now holds two masters degrees and two PHDs in both clinical neuropsychology and industrial/organizational psychology. Her doctoral dissertation was focused on Autism and Asperger’s syndrome. It has since been published and her research results have been published in several medical journals and cited over 300 times.
In 2010, Dr. Reynolds opened a private practice and later was hired to do neuroscientific research for a biotech company in Austin. Dr. Reynolds soon realized, however, that her passion is working directly with people in private practice. She stepped down as Chief Scientific Officer of the company and transitioned her private practice into the Neuropsychological Evaluation and Therapeutic Center in Austin.
